The role is based in our Parnell office, working hours have a degree of flexibility, as well as working from home.

Our Company has over 1000 staff servicing 35 sites in New Zealand supporting:

Your responsibilities:
- Leading a small team to deliver timely and accurate payroll processing
- Ensure all payroll transactions are accurately collated and processed in a timely manner
- Arrange for staff to be paid correctly and in time with their pay cycle
- Regularly update and maintain pay and personnel records in our incoming new payroll system, Dayforce
- Resolve issues with staff regarding payroll related queries
- Calculate pay, tax, deductions, and all aspects of reward using our payroll system
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws
- Staff expense processing.
We are currently in a transition phase of setting ourselves up in New Zealand, so this role will also be involved in transitional project planning, to set our new payroll system up for success!
What we’re looking for:
- Sound working knowledge of Holidays Act and New Zealand Payroll legislation and practices
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Payroll role in a New Zealand company
- Honest and reliable, with extreme professional discretion when handling confidential data
- Analytical, organised and accurate, with an eye for detail
- Able to work well under pressure and lead a small team
- Good at record-keeping, and particularly accurate at data entry
- Capable of prioritising deadlines
- Good at problem solving with an eye for process improvement
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Team management experience
- A genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
